Designed in 1929 in Lyon, this was originally a textile design for created for the high end fashion brands in Paris to be produced on silk fabrics.
Celestial rose illustrates a beautiful Ikat floral design, intricately crafted by the block print makers, each colour plate interlocks to create this mottled imprint. The paper also appears to have a golden floral overly, an impression made over time and humidity changes, which has transferred through the pages.
This archive print has been lovingly restored and reproduced using digital printing and ethically sourced materials.
