Tokyo Bats,

This beautiful pattern of swirling bats was originally created in the early 1900’s using a wood block printing technique. The pattern celebrates the popularity of bats in Japanese 20th Century culture under the influence of Chinese, the bat was viewed as a good-luck symbol, bringing happiness and new beginnings. The image of bats was often used in pottery and kimonos and has been revived as a wallpaper print for a delicate playful backdrop, available in 3 colour ways. Indigo, Mist & Midnight.

This archive print has been lovingly restored and reproduced as a wallpaper design using digital printing and ethically sourced materials.

We are partnered up with TreeSisters and a percentage of our profits every month go to them to replant trees in the forests.
